K9s Only Announces Upcoming Events and New Staff

In their July newsletter, dog boarding, Dog Training Los Angeles and grooming company, K9s Only announced a (slew) of events and changes coming to both of their locations. One of the biggest changes has been the addition of Dr. Douglas Kramer to their team of dog care specialists. Dr. Kramer will work out of the West LA location, alongside Gena Haba, the resident dental care expert. K9s Only lauded the holistic and comprehensive approach he brings to every treatment and point to it as one of the major reasons they decided to bring him on. Dr. Kramer focuses on educating his clients by involving them in the decision making process regarding their pet's care.

Dr. Kramer's hiring comes hand in hand with K9s Only desire to increase the profile of their wellness center in Tarzana. At the moment, the wellness center is focusing on water safety, since it is a very important issue, especially during this time of the year. Their water safety classes are run by their Wellness Director, Yvonne. It focuses on teaching dogs skills that will help them stay safe and calm while in and around water. All of this is done in the wellness center's heated salt water pool. Yvonne utilizes gentle and positive methods, which allows the dog owner to make a smooth transition to their own pool, while helping their pet stay as safe as possible in a water environment. Besides water safety, the wellness center is also utilized to help dog's manage their weight, or rehab following a surgery.

Finally, the K9s Only Newsletter also touched on an innovative product the company is offering out of their Tarzana and West LA boutiques. It's called the Kool Collar and it is designed to help prevent dogs from overheating and suffering heat strokes. This collar, which is designed for outdoor use, stimulates artificial sweat and promotes cooling. The collars are available in a variety of sizes and colors.
